Being a work from home mom has distinct advantages as more and more women are finding. Nowadays there are more opportunities than ever for women to work from home and direct sales is one great way that moms can earn a great income and spend quality time with their families too.

In the past, direct sales was pretty much limited to being the surburban Avon lady. While Avon is still around and thriving, there are many more options open to moms looking to be their own boss and set their own hours. Make sure you ask lots of questions and understand everything that will be required of you and everything that will be provided.

Once you have chosen a company, it is time to dive head first into learning how you can be a successful work from home mom. Obviously, in direct sales the more you sell the more cash you earn. The place where almost every direct sales mom starts is with her family and friends. They will also introduce you to new leads in the form of their friends and acquaintances.

Don`t be scared of offering your services. The worst thing that can happen to you is someone says “no”. Being a work from home mom, you are likely to be picking your kids up and dropping them off at various activities. Use this opportunity to chat with other moms about your product.

2. Take care of your clients.
When you have got clients it is important to nurture them. It is far easier to nurture a client and have them recommend you to their friends and family, than it is to find fresh leads. Be nice to your clients. Good customer service is the most important thing of all. What you can offer your hostesses and clients will differ according to the company you are working for, but see what is available as incentives. Often they have little promotional things lying around their warehouses just waiting to be snapped up.

3. Keep in contact with clients.
Remaining in contact is also vital. Email them or send them a note or catalogue when a new product comes out. Keep them informed of their orders and send messages to check if they were completely happy with what they received. Little touches like that will keep your customers loyal and help you keep sales up.

With these tips and some persistence, you can enjoy a successful and fulfilling direct sales career as so many other work from home moms have.
