Medical transcription can be a rewarding, well paying work from home job if you have the training and/or experience required. Expect to have your evenings and weekends committed to work since this is typically when students will need you.

Many call center jobs will hire workers outright rather than have them work as an independent contractor, which opens the doors to benefits and takes the headaches out of taxes. Most call center jobs are flexible with hours, but you must work the hours you commit to. It is also imperative that you have complete silence while you are on duty, so this isn’t a job you can do if you have little ones running around; a night time position may be possible if you don’t mind the hours.

There are several different ways to make money from home as a freelance writer. The benefit to freelance writing, however, is that you can generally set your own hours and work from anywhere you want, so long as you are meeting your deadlines and background noise doesn’t bother you.
Working from home can be rewarding but challenging – finding legitimate work from home jobs for moms as opposed to a “job opportunity” requires a little bit of legwork.
