A little bit about me.

I am a wife and the mother of 2 young kids. Am also a bit of a computer junkie and love surfing around reading this or that and commenting on random blogs.

This website is one of a few I am building as part of my move towards working from home. I love building websites and spend far too many hours on my laptop each evening and any other time I can jump on. Information research is also a favorite hobby of mine, so building websites full of researched content is enjoyable and hopefully someday, profitable.

As of the spring of 2009, I am not a work from home mom but still a working mom. However, I am hoping to change that in the near future. I have spent a lot of time dreaming of working from home and have investigated the many ways to accomplish that goal, but I still need to get a few ducks in a row before I can take the full plunge.

I actually built my first website in 2005, mainly a personal site for a certain niche, but I learned a lot along the way. Some of the focus of that site was around work from home opportunities, but at the time, nothing was quite right for my situation. As the struggle between working full-time and raising a family has gotten increasing difficult, I decided a few months back to give website building and other online work from home options another try.

This website is mainly targeted to other women like me who would like to understand what opportunities are available to work from home. Luckily, in the years I was offline the options for work from home jobs have increased greatly and I am very excited about all of the opportunities that are available now. I hope to be able to expand this site from basic information to more advanced topics, especially once I am “officially” a work from home mom.
